Sakura Nakaya was founded in 1940 by Mr. Suekichi Nakaya, a Japanese immigrant who arrived in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century. Sakura always strives to maintain the tradition of making the highest quality health food products, demonstrating its respect to the customer, the environment, and the community. They are home to more than 300 different products , with their main product being the tasty soy sauce.
The intensive process begins with the farming of soybeans and corn in the most organic and safest way. Thereafter the soybeans are washed and cooked using advanced technology systems. Simultaneously the corn is washed as well and thereafter roasted. It then goes through a milling machine and then mixed with the soybeans where the fermenting begins. The mixture sits in a greenhouse for 48 hours and straight after put in a fermented tank for 6 months. Thereafter the pressing and pasteurization process begins to produce the best soy sauce. The sauce then goes through extensive quality and control measures, and once approved it gets filled into the amazing packaging.

The traditional soy sauce has a rich and complex taste and can be used in any dish, such as vegetable, meat, poultry and seafood. All soy sauce produced by Sakura is gluten-free which makes it convenient for anyone with dietary specifications to enjoy this delicious product. Furthermore, it contains 35% less salt than other soy sauces. Sakura also has a light soy sauce range made from fermented soybeans with corn, salt, water and ethanol. The light soy sauce is ripened briefly and is therefore lighter in color and taste. Sakura is the only company in the world that naturally ferments soybeans and corn on an industrial scale.
Sakura is the first company to produce plastic PET packaging which ranges from 500ml to 5L. They produce the traditional 150ml glass soy sauce bottle which is extremely easy open.
