Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for logistics? Beagley Copperman is looking for a driven Logistics Manager who can maintain an overview, optimize processes, and act as the linchpin between different departments. In this role, you will work from our head office in De Kwakel and manage a small, close-knit logistics team of two colleagues. Together, you will ensure that the daily flow of goods—both incoming and outgoing—runs smoothly.

You will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and improving all logistics processes. You will work closely with the Business Process Manager to identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable improvements. You will switch effortlessly between departments and be a permanent member of the management team.

Tasks and responsibilities

• You monitor and coordinate logistics planning between sales, purchasing, and our logistics partner.
• You manage the internal logistics team (two colleagues: incoming and outgoing shipments) on a daily basis.
• You translate forecasts from sales and purchasing into workable logistics plans.
• You keep a close eye on incoming containers and make adjustments when the workload in the warehouse increases (for example, by temporarily placing containers in storage).
• You proactively contribute ideas about staffing capacity at our external logistics partner (order pickers, sticker work, etc.).
• You organize and lead logistics meetings with internal stakeholders (sales, purchasing, finance).
• You ensure a conclusive monthly stock comparison with our logistics partner and take action in case of deviations.
• You monitor invoicing deadlines and liaise with the Financial Manager in case of bottlenecks.
• You present a short monthly update from the logistics department during the team meeting.
• You participate in the monthly management meeting as a sparring partner for logistics issues.
• You identify process improvements and make proposals to the Business Process Manager and Managing Director.

Job requirements

As Logistics Manager at Beagley Copperman, you are the communicative link between our sales team, purchasing, financial administration, and logistics partner. You understand that this position is much more than just a coordinating role. It requires daily focus, forward thinking, and maintaining an overview, even during busy periods. You are a strategic planner with an eye for detail and a hands-on mentality.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:

• At least 3 years of experience in a logistics coordination or management role, preferably within a growing organization.
• HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking.
• Experience in translating sales and purchasing forecasts into logistics planning.
• Excellent communication skills to switch between different internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive and solution-oriented attitude: you anticipate potential bottlenecks and ensure that they are prevented.
• Experience with inventory management and monitoring processes related to incoming and outgoing goods.
• Leadership skills, with experience in managing a small team.
• Analytical skills and the ability to identify and implement improvements.
• Stress-resistant and flexible, you maintain an overview even when the workload increases.
