Job description

As a Senior Financial Administrator, you will support the finance department in managing, analysing, and improving the financial administration. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and contribute to accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting.

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and reviewing financial data. You will support month-end and year-end closings, analyse financial results, and assist in preparing reports for management. In addition, you will identify discrepancies in financial data and actively contribute to improving financial processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Financial Administration and Reporting

  • Preparing and analysing periodic financial reports.
  • Preparing and monitoring cash flow reports.
  • Processing and posting daily bank transactions.
  • Reviewing and analysing general ledger accounts.
  • Preparing documentation for audit reviews.
  • Investigating and resolving financial questions and discrepancies.

  Tax and Compliance

  • Preparing VAT returns and ICP declarations.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations.

  Payments and Liquidity Management

  • Preparing and reviewing the weekly payment run.
  • Managing and monitoring corporate credit cards.
  • Monitoring the organisation’s liquidity position.

  Collaboration and Support

  • Supporting the Financial Manager with various financial activities.
  • Acting as the point of contact for financial questions within the organisation.

  Process Optimisation

  • Actively contributing to further streamlining and optimising administrative processes.
  • Identifying areas for improvement within the financial administration and implementing more efficient ways of working.

Requirements

For the position of Senior Financial Administrator, we are looking for an analytical and eager-to-learn finance professional who wants to further develop within the field of controlling and financial analysis. You are accurate, proactive, and have an affinity with figures and financial processes.

In addition, you meet the following criteria:

• Completed HBO degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy, or a comparable field
• Approximately 3 years of work experience within finance, accounting, or controlling
• Internship experience within a financial department is a plus
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Navision or Dynamics Business Central, is a plus
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• Living in the vicinity of De Kwakel
